A proportion of the sale price, equivalent to about 40p out of the 99p cost in most outlets*, will be donated by the TUC to Age UK via Age UK Services Limited to support older people.
Age UK is the national charity working to improve later life for everyone by providing life-enhancing services and vital support. Currently, they help over 5 million people every year. With the support of people like ‘The Workers’ they are aiming to increase that number to 7.5 million by the end of 2012.
The Age UK family includes Age Cymru, Age Scotland and Age NI, as well as more than 170 local Age UKs and over 470 shops. Through these networks Age UK are able to provide vital services directly to people in later life wherever they may be in the UK.
